Site-specific light installation, light, orb, rope, plastic sheeting, variable dimensions
A luminous sphere, bound to the ground with rope and wrapped in plastic sheeting, emits a glow that activates the surrounding landscape. Its intensity responds to real-time solar and geomagnetic activity: as disturbances increase and the aurora becomes likely, the orb dims almost to black.
Visible from great distances — at times mistaken for a second moon — the work acts as an inverse mirror of the sun and aurora, a terrestrial luminous body governed by distant forces. Both tethered and radiant, Luminous Orb Entangled traces a fragile correspondence between cosmic rhythms and earthly presence.
