“Transitions” (2015)

Diploma work presentation, June 2015, Athens School of Fine Arts

Four separate works creating a whole and unique experience for the viewer, which aims to separate him from the rhythm of daily life and routine, and initiate him into a different state, more esoteric and more spiritual. The exhibition space is completely darkened and the only sources of light are the works themselves, which have been created according to this principle -light in comparison to darkness.  A deep, slow, continuous and repetitive sound, like a hum, fills the space and acts as a unifying element -like darkness does optically- but also sets a pace for the viewer, forcing him to “slow down” in order to fully experience the works.

Every work, as well as the exhibition as an entity, deals with some sort of transition, from one state to another.
